A couple? A COUPLE??? DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING MAN!? Too bad I won't be able to go back this year if I want to stay out of the Russian Army. Aren't you like 15 or something? And where does Imp live? Stupid questions aside, the closest I've come to any actual STALKAN was sneaking into an open-air museum at night with a friend and hanging there for a while, before getting caught and telling the guards how we forgot how the museum closes at 5PM and stayed there for 3 hours too long. I kind of doubt they bought it, but they let us go anyway. Security and law enforcement around here seems to be rather lax and easy-going anyway (you get 10-20 years max for murder, a single digit number if you kill the wrong person instead of the one you originally planned to). There's an assload of forests in Estonia, what isn't privately owned land is state-owned and there are hiking trails and stuff all around, as long as you don't defecate over the nature. Not that they'd hunt you down if you did.

A couple of friends of mine (including myself) went camping a few days ago, for the lulz. The thing is, we went to a private forest which also proved to be hunting grounds. Around 3 or 4 hunting pairs passed by, one stopping to have a bite near our DIY rain shelter we had to build in 2 minutes, as seen on this pic. (Ignore the censor, it's Falchion. The other guy with the hood is Shadow, a friend of his. Whack nutjobs, if you ask me.) Anywho, this grandma comes by, thinking that it's poachers, since nobody else but hunters and poachers go there. Imagine her surprise when she finds the four of us inviting her for for some barbie. We were getting ready to go when somebody got 'ere with a few dogs. Packed in 1 minute, nearly broke my leg slipping on the mud. Got laughed at too, fuckers. Then again, another one fell. but it was less trolololish then my GREAT FALL OF DOOM.

Make sure you're wearing an orange vest and not running around.

Orange vest isn't the point. Infact that's completely opposite what we're about on our parts. We just choose our locales carefully and safely.

It'd be nice . . . I'm tired of all the damned jet noise. Our region's population is over 50% military (either active, retired or reserve). We have almost 20 bases within a 30km range . . . it's a little ridiculous. 20 bases? ROR WUT No joke. Here, I marked them off on this map (the ones I can remember anyhow): URL2PIC

No, Norfolk, Virginia is an urban city . . . not as urban as Chicago, NY or Philly (by that I mean we don't have as many skyscrapers). All those bases are active. We have 4 different landing fields - two by the Navy, One operated by the Air Force and another operated by the Army; one of those operated by the Navy is the largest and only major Naval Air Station on the east coast, and the majority of the Navy's east coast flight squadrons are stationed here. We have one major Naval station . . . the largest in the world, and completely houses the Atlantic Fleet ( wiki's list of Navy ships stationed here - does not include those operated by other military branches, nor those of foreign navies temporarily docked). Little Creek Naval Amphibious base is (again) the largest of it's type in the world, and operates 3 satellite bases - one also located in this region (Camp Pendleton). NABLC houses a good portion of the amphibious fleet, both on and offshore commands ( list). Dam Neck Fleet Training center is operated by the Navy, houses our armament of shore batteries, and is a center used for special forces training, and weapon development (amoung other things). Fort Story - operated by the Army - serves a similar function for the Army branch, and also houses multiple shore-batteries. Portsmouth Naval Hospital is the second largest naval hospital in the US (Bethesda in Maryland being the largest ATM), and is also the oldest continuously run naval hospital operated by the Navy. Communication Area Master Station Atlantic is a comm base operated by the Coast Guard, the only of it's kind on the east coast and the second largest in the country, and serves as a training center for fleet comm personnel . . . the base "directs and oversees day to day operations and maintains operational control of all Communication Stations in the Coast Guard's Atlantic Area. These include COMMSTA Miami/NMA (1993*), COMMSTA Boston/NMF (1996*), and COMMSTA New Orleans/NMG (1998*) which are all controlled remotely by CAMSLANT." <sigh> I'd continue, but I'm sure I'm boring the hell out of you guys.
