"You look tired, Sergeant." Sigbrand said. "You can wake up during the walk to the forest. We'll be going by the Yantar route, Freedom's been acting up so I don't want to risk the quick route."
Once they had entered the Wild Territories, Sigbrand said "I'm going to stop here and give you a one minute head start. I want you to reach the road to Yantar past the underpass as quickly and as stealthily as you can. Your job is to beat me there and not be seen."
Sigbrand turned around, so not to see which direction Balalaika would run in. "Remember, you get one minute. Oh, and if I see you, you'll know."

As soon as the captain turned around, Balalaika sped off as quickly as her rather short legs could make her go. The Wild Territory was a dangerous place, and part of her was not happy at this little test the captain was putting her through. But she was in Duty, and Dutiers were required to obey their superiors.
She ran towards the old hangar to her left, where the platforms were, and made her way through there, taking a route along the foot of the platform to stay out of view. Once she was past the hangar, she looked around for any signs of mutants in the area. She saw none, but did hear the barks of blind dogs off to her right. Quickly bur quietly, she made her way down into the small opening area of the old, blocked tunnel and then entered the destroyed building site, making her way through the rubble.
Soon, she reached the underpass with its many Burner anomalies. Balalaika had only crossed that area once with other more experience members of Dolg. She took a deep breath and cautiously made her way towards the anomaly cluster, grabbing some rusty bolts she had in her pocket. She threw a few forward and, having determined that the passage was safe, she made her way through the scorching underpass. However, as she threw another bolt close to the end of the underpass, it triggered a Burner anomaly just in front of her and sent a small jet of flames upwards. Balalaika almost screamed as she felt the burning heat pass over her face, and she fell over backwards.
Her face blackened and her hair singed, she struggled to her feet and got out of the underpass before sitting down on the bank with a sigh.

Sigbrand started to count aloud. "One."
He could hear Balalaika running off as he continued.
"Five."
Fifty Five seconds later, Sigbrand turned back around and broke into a quick run. Heading for several pipes leading up to the top of an elevated tunnel, he quickly climbed up them. Looking around, Sigbrand could see Balalaika running out of sight.
Inceasing his pace slightly, Sigbrand moved from rooftop to rooftop, pipe to pipe, as he made his way across the wild territory.
Once he reached the buildings nearest to the overpass, he carefully climbed down and pushed himself off of the side of the building onto the top of the overpass. Siting down on one side, slightly out of sight, Sigbrand waited for Balalaika to arrive.
After a few minutes, Sigbrand heard the footfalls of the small woman as she ran towards the underpass. Sigbrand tensed slightly as she navigated the anomaly field and cringed slightly when he heard the rush of a triggered anomaly followed by a choked gasp and the sound of someone falling over. Shortly afterwards, however, Balalaika emerged from the tunnel and sat down next to the road.
"Nicely done, Sergeant." Sigbrand said from atop the overpass. "But not quite fast enough, It'll come with knowledge of the area though."
Walking around and down to the short woman, he helped her up and said. "Yantar isn't too far away now, we'll test your marksmanship there."
