Eirwen quickly calmed down after seeing that Shade reacted more with kindness rather than scolding her over the fire. She was surprised by this, until now the assassin had been helping her with only a cold and strict demeanor. She enjoyed the kindness, as well as the warmth of his hands as he helped her make the fire. She experienced a swirl of emotions, but could not name them. Her lost memory appeared to also include some knowledge of basic instincts.
Shade then looked at her wound, fascinated at how quickly it had healed. She remained quiet as he gave her some heat and finished closing the wound. Her emotions began to swirl again and she realized she liked this feeling. She then watched Shade take care of his own wound. Her knees went weak watching him stitch his wound. Although seeing death and blood had not caused her concern before, seeing this needle weave itself through flesh and thread close the gap caused her discomfort. She also began to worry for Shade, because although he was much more skilled than her, he could not heal himself nearly as fast.
After the wound treatment was complete, the two bandits shared a meal together. Although the zone's cuisine was not the most desirable, Eirwen did not notice and instead kept her attention on Shade as she ate. Afterward she was asked to recount her memory. All she could muster up was what happened after she awoke. The bunker, wandering, being chased by duty, the barrier, and finally here. Shade then passed her a drink. Taking a sip she found it mildly flavorless with a burning sensation on the way down only to leave her stomach feeling warm. She enjoyed this and drank the rest with Shade before they turned in for the night.
"Now." Eirwen heard only this as she was jolted by her sleep by the sound of anomalies and clanging metal. She quickly ducked behind cover with Shade. Another crate flew by, missing the two. Shade took a needle out of his pack and stuck it in his arm. Eirwen was confused, but would not question in the middle of combat. She saw Shade's eyes grow wide and his body become more rigid. He sprang out of cover and Eirwen followed, firing her pistol along with Shade. Shade, however, was much faster than her, even faster than he had been previously. He fired, reloaded, and fired some more before she could empty her pistol once. She then saw what was now a crazed man make a leap at the creature as she finally emptied her pistol and decided to follow him instead of reloading. Shade managed to get a good stab through it's eye before being knocked back against the wall, unconscious. The creature staggered back from the attack, giving Eirwen time to close the gap. She punched her fist straight into the wound Shade had left, grabbing the creature's brain and freezing it from the inside. The creature quickly went pale and after a minute or so became completely frozen. Eirwen smashed the corpse on the ground, shattering it and breaking her hand free. She then rushed over to Shade, attempting to wake him up. He was hurt, bleeding in multiple places, and would not wake up. Eirwen became frantic, but stayed focused. Placing her hands near his wounds she froze the blood enough so that it would clot and he would not bleed out. She then layed him down and poured some water into his mouth, causing him to wake up coughing up some blood. "It's dead. You need to heal up."

His body was wracked with numbness and pain, death? No dead men did not feel pain nor have any thoughts. He tried to sit up but his limbs did not respond to his brain, they remained still and unmoving. Panic set in, death was a much kinder fate than paralysis , with death you simply existed no more. The assassin tried with all of his might to move even a single digit but it was to no avail. Then suddenly he heard two figuers approach him from behind, before feeling two sets of hands grab him and drag him away. He was being taken down a dimly light, white marble hallway, he managed to to glance up at his captors. They were dressed in the black and red colors of Duty, but had the heads of Bloodsuckers. He tried to utter of something out but all that come out was a shrill gasp. His guards paid him no mind and continued to take him down the hall, before stopping at at tall wooden door that seemed to reach to infinity. The Bloodsucker headed Dutyers pushed opened the doors to reveal a courtroom, full of all the people he’d killed during his career. Some of the spectators had fear on their faces others regarded him with cold hatred. At the Judge’s stand sat a three headed Chimera, with a largest head on the left a slightly small and sleeping head in the middle and smallest head on the right. The Bloodsucker headed escorts dragged him in front of the stand and the room went quiet.
“The accused stands before this court for the crimes of murder , assault, battery, treason, conspiracy, espionage, theft, breaking and entering, rape, the use and sale of illicit substances and illegal entry into the exclusion zone.” the larger of the three heads and Judge rattled off.
“What does the accused have to say to these heinous crimes ?” the Judge continued.
“-The accused is both unwilling and unable to speak,” the guards replied in unison.
“-Is there anyone who will speak for the accused “ the large head asked again.
“-The accused has and wishes to not have a defense and admits to all crimes that he stands charged of.”
“-This court finds the accused guilty of all crimes and charges,” the last and smallest head and Jury shrieked maddeningly.
“ -Due to the severity of the crimes the only punishment seen fit is death!”The large head boomed loudly, causing the courtroom to erupt in cheers and celebration.
The Chimera jumped down from the stand the middle head and executioner now awake was growling and drooling; as the two guards pulled back on his hair to expose his neck. The jaws hovered above his throat when suddenly gunfire broke out in the courtroom. Bullets tore into the guards and the Chimera then the rest of the courtroom.
Once again he laid slumped on the floor, as a new figure approached him, it was a man with cold eyes and an all too familiar grin, his father.
“-To think you’d end up like this ,” the elder said pulling him into a sitting position, “The one who pulled a knife on me, your own fucking father.”
“Even now after all this time and all the men you killed you still fear me,” the man continued pulling back his fist and then releasing it with full force it into Shade’s jaw. The old assassin continued to hit him as the room became colder as did his attacker. Until he watched his father freeze solid then shatter into a hundred pieces.
The room was dark but he was not alone, someone was with him. But he could still not see them.
“-Tosya,” a female voice called, that seemed to reach from every corner of the room. She sounded familiar but he couldn't place her voice.
“-Who are you, what do you want with me,” he muttered now finally having control of his voice.
“-It does not matter,” the woman replied “right now your body has gone into shock and your pulse and heart rate are dropping.”
“-I’m dying?”
“-Not yet; you're hallucinating, but you must start fighting soon.”
“-How?”
“-Breathe.”

The Bandit awoke coughing up blood and water, Eirwin was next to him holding a canteen; the smell of burnt rubber filled the air, no doubt from his suit. The effect of the dream not having fully worn off, he figured that the vision was just the after effects of the drugs he’d taken early. He’d might ponder the meaning later, but for right now he had to taken in his surroundings
He admitted he was surprised that the redhead had not taken his equipment and leave him for dead. The girl was visibly shaken and she seemed to be generally worried for him.
"It's dead. You need to heal up,” She stammered awkwardly.
“Help me up then,” he said calmly, “don’t worry about harming me, the mutant did more than enough.”
She helped him into a sitting position, so that his back was supported by the metal crate. He slowly began to dismantle the upper portion of his suit, to give her better access to his injuries. He then let his head fall back and allowed her to do her work. At some point he must have fallen asleep,as he awoke to his PDA buzzing and beeping, the rays of early morning sun illuminating the decaying Soviet ruins. Shifting uncomfortably he found his coat covering him, pulling it off of him he picked up the device. It having fared better than he did, he checked to see the message.
It was the dead drop location for his latest hit, the message update his PDA giving him a stash location in Agroprom. He had a lot of money to collect, from both the hit and his ‘tour guide’ mission that would total up to 20,000 RU so long as his ‘boss’ didn’t cut into the sum. But knowing the man Shade knew he would.
“Eirwin?”, he called wondering just where the girl had gotten off too. After the attack and all he went through he was going to make sure that she was coming with him.

Eirwen finished patching up Shade's wounds only to find that he had fallen asleep. It was still late, but she had slept enough for her sake. Besides, her adrenaline mixed with worry would not allow her to sleep had she wanted to. She picked up Shade's M16A3, leaving behind her AK. After navigating her way out of the tunnel she used the night vision scope to see in the dark. She remembered passing by some mercenaries the day before. Why they did not shoot at her she was unsure. This 'Zone' she has found herself in was extremely hostile, with only one man showing her anything short of hostility. Eirwen sighed, "Kill or be killed. Where have I heard that before? Oh well, no matter. This place seems to live and die by this phrase, and I will be happy to oblige."
Looking through the rifle's scope as she moved she made her way to the structure the mercenaries had been on. Carefully making her way up the ramps she realized her sneaking skills still needed some mild improvement as one of the two mercenaries on guard spoke. "Hey there pretty thing, why you out here all alone? Ya leave that bandit of yours?"
She sighed, but thinking quickly she decided to go along with their assumption. "Haha, yeah. He was a jerk, but it's scary out here. Do you think I can spend the night with you guys?" She followed her playful ruse with a wink.
The mercs fell for it easily. They were no match for the charms of a beautiful young woman. "Of course, come, come, well get you a nice sleeping bag."
The instant the men turned around, expecting her to follow, she shot one of the men in the back of the skull with her silenced rifle and quickly grabbed the other man, putting her hand in front of his mouth. "Sssshh..." She began freezing him and he slowly fell to the ground before succumbing to Eirwen's power. Leaving the men there for now, she went up and found the rest of the mercs sleeping. Easy prey. One by one she got on top of them, pinned them down, covered their mouth, and froze them to death.
Looting the men she found a plethora of weapons, ammunition, food, supplies, and a couple artifacts. Most mercs had AKs and similar weapons, but one had an M16A3 with a silencer and nightvision scope. Surprised at the similarities to Shade's weapon, she took it for herself. Among other miscellaneous items were a few artifacts, three fireballs, two meat chunks, and a flash. After looting she realized the sun was coming up and that she should return to Shade before something happened.
"Wakey wakey Shade! I brought presents!" She exclaimed as she re-entered the tunnel where Shade had slept, hoping to show off her new finds.

He called for the girl again when she did not answer, looking around he found his M16A3 missing in its place the AK that the girl had been using. He held down an angry shout, thinking that she had robbed him; it would have served him right for trusting anyone but himself. However his fuming would not be long lived as Eirwin returned, not only with his weapon but a large pack that was much fuller then he last remembered it.
"Wakey wakey Shade! I brought presents!" She exclaimed as she discharged the Anomaly and safely reentered the camp. She then began to show him all of the loot she had attained. Almost like a child on Christmas morning showing one of her family members what Santa had gotten her the night before.
“-Where did you get all of that,” he asked with slight annoyance, “and why did you steal my gun?”
She explained how she tricked the tower Mercenaries and killed them, freezing most in their sleep. He mused for a moment, she would be the perfect Bandit and that he had not chosen wrong to take her under his wing.
“No witnesses, good,” he commented taking back his weapon,“let me look at that new shooter of yours.”
Putting down his gun he began to inspect the new firearm that Eirwin had looted. It was in fine condition, for a heavily used weapon. The person who owned it before took very good care of it as noted by parts that had been replaced and cleaned.
“Not in bad shape,” he replied after giving it a look over, “Just needs a cleaning and a few minor calibrations.” She took back the weapon as he took one of her Meatchunks before explaining the artifact’s properties. The assassin then rekindled the fire and made a quick meal for the two.
“We’ll have to backtrack to Yantar,” he said eating his food quickly, “We’d need to be careful; I don’t enjoy the idea of waiting for some moron to yack at us to report to his commander.”
After eating they packed up all of their gear and left the camp, passing the construction site that was now home to only dead Mercs, they then enter the Fire anomaly underpass. Walking a ways down the road they left the Wild Territories behind them. Following the overgrow trail mud slushed around their boots and clung to the hem of Shade’s coat. However as they turn around the bend they were greeted by; “-HALT!”
A group of five Mercenaries stood with weapons drawn, clearly the ecologists overzealous guards.
“You must report to our leader and state your business, “the squad leader demanded threateningly.
“-Piss off son,” expressed Shade rubbing his temples in an aggravated manner, “I’d haven’t the time or the patience to deal with your petty boarder control bullshit.”
“-Then you don’t get to pass,” the other replied smugly, “You have ten seconds to get the hell out of here bandit before me and my boys blow your face off.”
However ever before the Merc could count Shade fire his pistol from his waist from within his coat. The round tore into the man’s throat. The assassin rolled out of the fire zone and took hold of his M16 and fired a short burst at another blue clad stalker, then switched position once more and fired at another downing both.

Eirwen was caught off-guard as Shade fired at the merc group, allowing the mercs to fire before she could scramble to cover. She took a shot to the back of her hand as she slid into cover. Screaming in anger and pain, she swung her hand as she entered cover. The instant rush of battle caused her powers to flare up as the initial flow of blood rushed from her hand causing the blood to freeze as it left her body, taking the shape of a crude spike. Acting on what seemed to be pure instinct Eirwen shot at the mercs. One took a shot through his eye, dying almost instantly. The last took a hit in is knee, causing him to lose both balance and aim. Eirwen left cover, rushing the merc, managing to stab him through the throat with her own blood before he could react. She could feel his body heat coming to her through this newfound application of her mutation, heating her much faster than normal as the heat went directly to her bloodstream. The blood spike then began to melt, losing shape. Eirwen ensured the death of the two downed men, as well as feeding on their heat, before turning to Shade.
"Well, that's new. Useful too. Wonder what else I can do."

The bandit was at a loss for words, he had thought at first that her mutation could only be effective in close combat. But now this opened new possibilities; and concerns blood could be very dangerous, many deadly diseases could be passed by blood. The blood was frozen but he was not sure if it was still potential risk existed or not.
"Well, that's new. Useful too. Wonder what else I can do." He heard her exclaim looking at him with excite.
"Don't do that again," he said like a adult scolding a child, slapping her a crossed the face, "Do you realized how much you might have exposed yourself too?"
Seeing the mark he left he regretted the action, he did not mean to harm her. He didn't understand why he would care for another besides himself, or the person who was paying him. He need her for what she was, a child but she was his find and his to protect.
"I...I'm sorry," he stammered resting his hand softly on her face it was odd to ask another for forgiveness, "I should not have hit you, but do understand blood is not something that you play with."

Eirwen felt the sting of Shade's hand across her face and she swelled with rage. Had he not apologized, she may have retaliated. She glared at him.
"Don't slap me." She said sternly and with authority. "You may be the reason I'm alive, but I will not be tossed around anymore." The adrenaline still in her was causing a much more violent reaction to Shade's scolding than usual.
She turned away from Shade and walked on, not caring for the loot. She needed to calm herself down. She felt pain in her hand, remembering the wound. It has closed a decent amount, but was still open. Ignoring previous bandaging methods, she held a fireball artifact to it. She could feel the wound closing slowly, but much faster than a normal human. She was definitely becoming both more powerful and more confident. After a few minutes under the warmth of the fireball her wound had become a scar. She turned back to Shade, showing her hand. "I'm fine, hurry up."

"Don't give me reasons," he spat, "still what can you expect, your a child to me. Like now you don't even know where you are going."
She had turned to heal herself with one of her artifacts, turning back only to tell him to hurry up.
"Then lead.." he continued but stopped, he saw a red dote on her shoulder moving towards her head. He leap forward and pulled her down, as they fell he could feel the hot air and pressure of the round as it passed them. Landing just in time to hear the high powered report of the gun, and see mud and dirt explode not to far away from there position.

Eirwen was pissed. The second she takes control a sniper fucks eveything up. She barrel rolled into a nearby bush and returned fire. Looking through the scope she could make out a figure wearing a black and red suit on a structure. Seeing the colors of duty once again pushed her anger as far as it could go. The adrenaline rushing through her caused a much more rapid absorption of heat from her mutation. The rain began to turn into hail and slowly increased its radius. More and more hail began to fall in the area even beginning to hail on the sniper. Shortly after it began to snow as well and the air became colder than a russian winter. A blizzard had begun. The sky became a grey mass centered on Eirwen. Mutants scurried in the distance, trying to find heat. The duty sniper dropped his weapon and stared in awe as the blizzard enveloped him, slowly freezing him. By the time he attempted to find cover, it was too late. This went on for what must have been fifteen minutes, after which Eirwen fell limp and unconcious into the resulting snow.
I know no one reads this, but a blizzard, next she'll be shooting ice bolts...

She pushed him away and rolled into cover, the assassin whet to grab her as to move her to safety, when he saw it. Ice,drops of ice that had formed on his glove, the temperature was dropping fast, the weather had gone from a mild drizzle to hail in mere seconds.
He saw his breath crystallize as the water vapor froze. Shade couldn't comprehend what was happening but knew that he should not stay out in the open. His suit could have handled the change with out an issue, but now it was badly damaged and would not protect him. Finding the girl's discarded bag on the ground he snatched it up and found refuge in the cab of an abandon truck. Taking one of her extra Fireballs out he held on to the flaming orb as he watched spring turned into winter.
The winter like storm seemed to intensify as Eirwen raged on. Tosya watched as minor mutants like the Tushkano ran past the truck, follow by the more aggressive and dangerous Snork. Few found shelter and froze. The outside glass of the truck iced over and chill began to eat at him but the heat from the Fireballs kept the cold from causing him harm.
After twenty minuets maybe more or less, the assassin dared venture out of his shelter. The land was changed, reverted back to the cold dead slumber of winter. Unfortunate mutants now doted the land as ice sculptures. He spotted the redhead laying in a small mound of snow.
"Eirwen?" he approached slowly but no response came, placing his two fingers to her neck he looked for a pulse. He found it to be well with in normal, for a human anyway at this point he was unsure if his understanding of basic medicine would apply to her at all. He took the fact she felt semi warm to be a good sign.
"Why I find myself looking after you," he mutter more to himself then the girl as he scooped her up into his arms, "I' don't think I'll understand in this lifetime."
He traveled to Agroprom, picking up the dead drop before making camp at the old train tunnel. Letting himself rest as he waited for the young woman to awaken. His injuries pained him, but that was not what bothered the master assassin. He felt like he needed to slow down, like his joints needed to be oiled. He was 35 years old but felt twenty years older. He had lived life fast and dangerous for far too long and now it was wearing him down. He did want to live to see 70, but at the rate he was going it would be a miracle to see the next five years. He'd lived on rage, fear and lust. Taking what he wanted and burning all the rest. Rage much like the girl had displayed earlier.
"Rage and anger," he said with a laugh, "kept me going since my boyhood, helped me to survive.... When I was 15 I had a mentor helped me to sharpen the skills I need for this life. He was killed in a bombing during the First Chechen War. I tracked the ones responsible to a village right on the border and massacred all of them. Elderly, women, children; did;t matter... I left the mastermind of the attack alive, battered and bloody.
" He had a daughter not much older then me at the time, had my way with her and made him watch." he found himself laughing, the bandit did not regret any of the actions, they destroyed what he held dear and he had repaid them a hundredfold. He welcomed the families of his targets to avenge their loved ones, but so far none have tried.
"Perhaps you will do the same to Duty," he remarked not caring if she had heard him or not.

"Caitlin! Wake up honey, it's time for school!"
"Ugh, I don't want to go to school." She thought, rising from bed. She yawned and looked around to see a Russian man with long hair. Shade. Eirwen. Reality came back to her. But, was this just a dream she had, or was it her past? Was her true name Caitlin? Her mother's voice seemed too familiar. Yes, she remembered now. Her true name was Caitlin.
"Shade? What happened?"

"About time," he replied stoking up the fire once more. He had laid her out near the fire with her heat giving artifacts around her. The bandit had taken her slight confusion when she had first sat up to mean that she was unsure of how she had come into this location.
"You caused a blizzard," he stated matter of factually,"turn a small area in Yantar into a frozen tundra, you where out cold for a few hours."
"I carried you to Agroprom," he continued, "we need to get moving to base, can you walk or will I have to carry you again?"

Eirwen stood up. "I'm fine. Actually, I'm feeling great." Her pack seemed lighter, maybe Shade or someone else had taken something. Checking her pack she noticed nothing was missing. She seemed to have become slightly stronger. "Let's just get going to the base."

The girl seemed much to have gained a large amount of her strength back, and seem like she could hold her own. He shared in her to desire to return to base and so wasted no time in making head way.
The military had been reluctant as of late to send out more patrols as they where undermanned at the moment. This allowed Stalkers to cross between areas without crawling on their bellies to avoid the heavy Machine-gun fire. The road to the Garbage was once again under Bandit control. As they past the bandits started to make cat calls to Erwin; Shade would not intervene unless it was asked of him, the girl would need to stand on her own.
That was not to say he would not help her in a small way, after the entered the the old train depot, he extended his offer.
"I've reached the apex of my career," he started, "although I don't see myself falling for sometime; I believe that it is time that I take on a protege, I would like that person to be you. "

Eirwen grew impatient along the path, tired of all the walking. As she past some other low ranking bandits they attempted to hit on her in a rather rude manner. She turned and gave them a glare that quite literally chilled their spines before continuing on. The obnoxious men quieted down quickly.
Walking through the train depot Shade made her an offer. She knew not exactly what he would be teaching her, but decided that he has proven himself a friend at the least and was the only person she could trust at this time.
"Well, I don't suppose I have a choice if I want to live around here, now do I?"
