On the other hand, CoP is now out in most countries. Hope everyone who's picked it up is enjoying it. And maybe it'll spur the ZSG to come back to life. *sigh* CoP isn't officially available in Australia for another 2 weeks. I really hope that webhost Dawn used did proper data backups so Dawn can recover the important data from the old ZSG. I'll admit that with the amount of time this is taking, I am beginning to fear that said hosting company didn't maintain such data backups. Jenifur Charne Depends. We've had blowouts before, and the company managed to pull out a few clean backups.

We've had blowouts before, and the company managed to pull out a few clean backups. Yes, but the blowouts were at the ZSG server(s). This is a domain name registration blowout. The DNS servers don't know ZSG at all.

Forgive me for my lack of technical knowledge.
But does that mean we're fucked?

Well, it means that the name needs to be re-registered. The nasty part is that anyone can claim the domain name once the registration is allowed to lapse. Side note: There's been a slick tactic used by at least one of the domain name provider companies offering a name search service: When you checked to see if a name was available, they said it was if you bought it from them -- because they immediately claimed it. This apparently was to prevent your going to a lower-cost provider to get the name. On topic: Hello, folks.
