Physical Description: Reasonably tall and lightly built, Aristotle has sharp facial features and keeps his hair short.
Back Story: Born into a middle-class family in Belarus as Ivan Yatchenko, Aristotle was a bright and curious child.
Ivan's intelligence and curiosity lead him through school and into university with an interest in Philosophy and Psychology. However, his higher education plans were cut short when he joined a group of anti-government protesters.
When Ivan was 26, a meeting that began as a peaceful demonstration ended up as a riot. After being struck in the head with an unexploded 40mm tear gas shell, Ivan spent several months in the hospital then was immediately incarcerated.
Three months into his sentence, a prison riot gave Ivan the opportunity he needed to make his escape. Ivan himself isn't really sure how he made it over the fences, but he did and after several more months of wandering and stealing his way through northeastern Europe, he met up with a group of fugitives heading for the Zone.
Once in the Zone, Ivan was immediately attracted to the Freedom faction. Their almost non-existent rules and freedom of life appealed greatly to him and he made his way north to the Army Warehouses.
Freedom, being Freedom, welcomed Ivan into their midst with open arms. His thoughtfulness and tendency to get caught up in thought during missions earned him the nickname "Aristotle". His tendency to be somewhat absent minded is offset by his skill with a rifle. Aristotle used to operate alone so he could think, but ever since a younger Finnish stalker who he named Diogenes found his way into freedom, the two usually do missions together with Diogenes acting as Aristotle's spotter.

Name: Fredrik "Diogenes" Lahtela
Age: 24
Faction Affinity: Freedom
Height: 5' 9"
Weight: 156 lbs.
Hair Color: Light brown
Eye Color: Blue
Piercings: none
Tattoos: none
Scars: none
Mental Illness: none
Physical Description: Of average hight and a more scrawny build than Aristotle. He keeps his hair in a pony tail.
Back Story: Born in Finland as Fredrik Lahtela, Diogenes had a rough childhood and grew up in poverty. His time in school was limited, and he learned to read and write from priests in a local church. He also used their library extensively.
Fredrik's family was very devout, and his mother wanted him to enter the clergy. Fredrik had his doubts about religion, however, he respected the local priests and followed his mother's requests to avoid conflict.
The moment he was able Fredrik left his small village and headed for Vantaa, one of the largest cities in Finland with a bustling population of 190,000. Fredrik moved from job to job until he finally gave up and left Finland. After hitch-hiking and walking around a greater portion of northern Europe Fredrik eventually found himself at the perimeter of the Zone.
Fredrik entered the Zone at a point just west of the Agroprom research institute and military compound. After wandering around and narrowly escaping being mauled by a mutant boar, he was picked up by a group of experienced Loners on an artifact hunt. After scavenging some equipment for him, the loners allowed Fredrik to accompany them on their mission then escorted him back to Rostok. After staying in Rostok for a while doing petty jobs for the Barkeep at the 100 rads, Fredrik heard a rumor about the Freedom faction farther north. The tales he heard of the faction tickled his fancy, but he decided that the road north was too dangerous for him to attempt alone, and seeing as Rostok was controlled by Duty and occupied by duty friendly loners, he doubted anyone would accompany him there.
He wouldn't need to find anyone, however, because a few days later Fredrik got into a brawl with a Dutier while drunk and shot the man dead. On the run from the powerful faction, Fredrik ran north to the Army Warehouses where he was taken in by Freedom.
At the warehouses, Fredrik met a stalker nicknamed Aristotle who immediately took a liking to him. Despite his rather cynical nature, Fredrik soon warmed up to Aristotle and was given the nickname "Diogenes" after the Greek father of the Cynic school of Philosophy. Aristotle and Diogenes now usually operate as a pair, with Diogenes working as Aristotle's spotter. While on missions, they will usually pass time by bouncing ideas and thoughts off of eachother.
