Disciple and his new friend had been travelling for a few hours when they finally came to the dillapidated cabin.Crouching and looking through his binoculars Disciple was surprised to see the flickering light of a fire coming from the windows. He could hear voices too, which considering what had happened a few nights ago, he found astounding, whoever was in there was either stupid, or ignorant to the blood on the walls. There was no sign of the monster either. Disciple's mind flashed back to a day not unlike this one, but with a squad of Spetsnaz with him, not in the zone but in chechnya, and the voices were the voices of chechen guerrilla's. The cold air snapped him out of his reverie and he stood up regaining his senses and taking a deep breath. "Okay, follow my lead, use a silenced weapon if you have it." Disciple said as he crouched low and tentatively stepped to the nearest wall of the house pressing himself against it and drawing his silenced makarov, signalling to pianist as he did so.

"Okay, follow my lead, use a silenced weapon if you have it" Disciple whispered so Pianist could barely hear it. Both stalkers were now pressed nearly flat against the cabin wall. "So whats the plan?" asked Pianist nervously taking out his PB1, he never had to assault a place with a group of armed men in it, let alone do it quietly...

"What's the plan?" Pianist whispered. "Well, round the corner from here there should be a door, i'll take out anyone who's outside, that's what we need the silenced pistols for, to keep the element of surprise. After that, get your rifle ready." Disciple explained. Peeking round the corner, Disciple saw a man, smoking a cigarette and holding a rusty machine gun. He was wearing a black leather trench coat with the hood up, so Disciple couldn't see his face. He was certain of one thing though, this man was definetely not a soldier. Disciple aimed at the man's head, snapping the safety off as he did so and fired. The man collapsed onto his side, not making a sound, blood pooling onto the ground beneath him. Disciple quickly stepped over the body and knelt down, doing a quick search of the bandit's pockets he found two grenades, these would come in handy, he tossed one to Pianist. "Here, take this, when i open the door, pull the pin and throw it in. These bandits are in for a pleasant surprise." Disciple chuckled.

"These bandits are in for a pleasant surprise." Said Disciple getting his grenade ready. "Wait!" Pianist stopped him and asked "But won't that damage the equipment they have? Sidorovich won't pay nearly as much for damaged guns if he'll pay at all!?" the stalker was really worried about the money he was going to make on this job. There was some rumbling inside the cabin, some of the shadows inside moved around coming dangerously close to the door where the dead bandit-guard lay, but then the shadow moved back to the fire...

"Shit, that was close, too close and your right, the grenades would damage the equipment too much." Disciple said, putting the grenade back into his pocket. "Okay, change of plan again." He said, cocking his ak74/2 and taking it off of safety. "We kick open the door and spray the room with bullets, you rifle is automatic right?" Disciple whispered. "That always used to work with the rebels." He mumbled, more to himself than anyone else. "Pray, do tell when your ready, cos' my fingers are getting itchy."

"Pray, do tell when you're ready, cos' my fingers are gettin' itchy." said Disciple in anticipation of what was about to go down. When Pianist on the other hand was cocking his AKSU and mentally preparing himself for what he was about to do, kill someone or even some people... But isn't that why he came to the Zone in the first place? To kill the gangsters who destroyed his life? But he would think about that later, for now he just said "Let's roll"

"That's the best thing i've heard all day." Disciple grinned. He kicked the door and the two stalkers sprayed the room with bullets, the bandits screamed as they scrabbled for their weapons and took cover, the fates were not smiling on one of the bandits as he was riddled with bullets, fell of his chair backwards and dashed his head on the mantlepiece, his blood splattering everywhere. One of the bandits poked his head over the overturned table he was behind. "What the hell are you waiting for guys? MURK HIM U...." He shouted, only to be answered by a bullet in the head, courtesy of Disciple's AK. The seemed to rile the bandits even more and their motley assortment of rusty, salvaged weapons opened up on the duo. "Shit, there's more than i thought, we might have to use the grenades after all." Disciple shouted over the cacophony of small-arms fire.

Pianist who was not used to using weapons at all was quite surprised of being not so bad with them after all. He made one of the bandits look like French cheese and then moved on to the next one when suddenly click! Click! Shit, the clip was empty! "We might have to use grenades after all!" Pianist heard Disciple shout. At that point without saying anything they both knew what to do... Cling... Both of the rings fell on the floor... Both grenades went up in the air at the same time and landed behind the bandits barricades.

There was a few seconds between the grenades landing on the floor and them going off at the bandits feet. There were screams of pain and a dismembered hand flew out of the door right past disciple's nose. He looked round the door frame and a scene of carnage met his eyes, most of the bandits, bar one were clutching some sort of injury, five of them were dead and another was lying on the floor, his mouth opening and closing like a fish gasping for air, though it only made more blood gush from the gash in his throat. "Okay, it's safe to go in now i think." Disciple said, switching his mags. As they stepped in, they saw a bandit, the last one alive crouching in a corner whimpering. Disciple raised his gun, ending the poor wretch's life with a bullet in the skull. "If my memory serves me correctly, i hid my things behind some lose bricks upstairs befor the military got me. Come, their stuff might still be there, cos it looks like the bandits havn't explored much." He placed his foot tentatively on the first step, listening for any noise in the house, nothing, all was quiet, so he continued on upwards, reaching the top of the stairs he gasped.

Pianist only came to the realization of what he did only a few moments later. He looked around the room at the dead bodies and heard Disciple gasp "What are you gasping at?" said Pianist and warily went up the stairs following in his new "leader's" footsteps.

"Jesus...how the hell...wha?" Disciple was met by such a scene that it would haunt him forever. There were the bodies of the soldiers, scattered around the room like ragdolls, limbs ripped from their bodies. only two of them were whole, and their faces were mixtures of terror and pain. Lying there, as if they had been forced to the ground, they weren't rotting either, which was strange. Disciple walked over to the nearest of the bodies and examined it more closely, looking at the main artery in his neck, the skin around it seemed to have just melted away, leaving exposed flesh and vein, only no blood was flowing from the wound, just a completely hollow tube was left. Disciple took out his knife and cut the man's wrists, no blood, not a drop. Was this what the monster that had come that night could do? He had heard of monsters that could suck a man of his blood within a minute, and come out of the shadows from nowhere. Was this what the people in the village refered to as a "bloodsucker" Disciple didn't want to wait and see. Suddenly remembering his pack, he went to one of the walls, knocking it gently until he found the hollow stretch, then started to pull the bricks out one-by-one. He heard a retching sound behind him, Pianist had come up the stairs.

"What the..." Pianist just came up the stairs and saw the dismantled bodies... "Actually... I'll wait down stairs..." the stalker rushed down the stairs to escape the scene of massacre... When he came downstairs he thought "Well I might as well do something useful and loot the bodies. As he was searching through the bodies and the rucksacks he found some keys on the bandit-leader's belt. "Hmmm...." intuitionally he went next-door and started looking for the gang's stash... As he went through the room bit-by-bit he saw an old pre-disaster wardrobe, he opened it and saw a well hidden small safe, he tried his luck with the keys and Cling! The safe door opened. Inside he found an MP5, which was not in such bad condition as the bandit's other weapons, some ammo and supplies and a very common for the Zone- Jellyfish artifact, they must have robbed it off someone because from what he heard it's not really a bandit thing to go artifact hunting.
Pianist Found: AKSUx2 TOZ-66x1 AK74/2x1 Makarovx4 MP5x1 Jellyfishx1 Ammo, food, medical supplies and stash coordinates.

Disciple had finished unbricking the section of wall and he smiled as he tenderly pulled his dragunov and his pack from the small space he had left them in, he opened his pack and checked that everything was in order, ammunition, supplies, they were all where he left them. He then checked his dragunov, which he had modified in the long, boring days of civilian life, everything was how he had left it. He then went about checking the military for ammo, medkits and bandages, he pulled off the two "Dry" soldiers armored vests and uploaded data from their pdas, there seemed to be a stash, in this very room. "Must of been how they came across me that night, looking for some poor soul's stash." Disciple thought aloud. Looking at the GPS on his pda, that stash should be right in front of him. There was a note on the stash marker which said "Hid Fyodor's suit in the chimney, didn't have space for it, God it made my suit dirty though." Disciple guessed that this meant the stash was in the fireplace, so he walked over to it and felt around tentatively. His hand was met with the coarse material of a rucksack, which he pulled out and opened; inside was a suit, quite similar to the suit that experienced stalkers passing through the village wore, they referred to it as the Sunrise suit. this one was different though, it was pitch black and seemed to have a lable that said "Sunset" Disciple put the Sunset suit into his pack, gathered up his loot and made his way downstairs. Disciple found:
Ak74/2 Makarov Pmm x2 Military suit Custom Dragunov SVD Sunset suit Medkits, bandages and supplies.

Pianist was waiting downstairs for Disciple to finish gathering the stuff upstairs, Pianist didn't want to see the massacred soldiers, he already saw enough for the day... He heard footsteps behind him, turned around and saw Disciple... "Are you done? C'mon I don't wanna hang around here any longer... Let's go share the loot somewhere safer, but not the village, let's go to the car park I heard rumors it's clear from bandits now..." And the two loners were off into the dark night of the Zone...

When they finally got to the car park, Disciple checked his pda, it was midnight. To his surprise there was a group of Loners round the fire in the main building, one of them was playing some relaxing tunes on his guitar. The duo walked over and sat down next to the Loners who acknowledged them and then just went on with whatever they were doing. "So my friend, your first gunfight huh?" Disciple said, starting to strip down and clean his dragunov with military precision.
