While fighting a Chimera on master difficulty, Dont stand still. I'd say at applies for any difficulty.

great idea for the mini mod! personally i really liked the suggestions from Stojespal, while being valid suggestions they are also entertaining to read.
but what i was wondering about, is there any way to somehow program the mini mod with a counter? something similar to how iTunes shows how many times each song has been played. so that the randomizer will be able to pick the tips that have not yet been displayed, or been displayed less times then other tips.
cuz i know while i been playing CoP, im pretty sure that i havent done 100loads yet, but i have had a few tips repeat at least 2-3 times. so some way to get around that would be really awesome.
edit: what happened with this mini mod anyway? has there not been enough tips or what?

what happened with this mini mod anyway? has there not been enough tips or what? Like a lot of things on the ZSG we tend to derail a lot of our threads. When two groups have finished having a fisticuffs bout, charge in and steal their loot.

While fighting a Chimera on master difficulty, Dont stand still. Surprisingly enough, I found out that fighting a chimera on a hillside makes it a huge deal easier. More often than not, its leaps either come short or are far too long, depending on the relative height of your position.

Fighting a chimera from a rooftop is even easier.

only if you can find a proper rooftop. it seems that if there is any cover nearby the chimera will use it. i tried using the platform in jupiter to kill it from, while not a rooftop it served the same purpose(mutants cant climb ladders.) so im sittin up there waiting for the beast to come a bit closer, squeeze a few rounds off and the bastard thing runs behind the silo looking thing. and it wouldnt come out, i tried tossing 'nades to the other side, but its too far so we played this hide n seek for a bit and then i had no choice but to go back on the ground and go toe to toe. and lemmi tell you, that first chimera kill in zaton seemed stupid easy after i dropped this jupiter one. but yeah, being elevated helps, and not just against chimeras. couple of times i had to seek out rocks and stuff to get away from large packs of dogs.
