*When engaging numerous enemies at mid range, aim for the middle of the chest - your weapon's recoil will cause your aim to kick upwards, usually ending with a headshot.
*Fire in short bursts - your accuracy is greatly skewed after the first couple of rounds.

On assault rifles, upgrading rate of fire and recoil reduction actually provides better results then going for accuracy and flatness.

Remember that sometimes reloading is slower than reaching for another weapon. Don't die holding a new magazine you never got into the weapon.

Side stepping most enemies as they attack will save you a lot of health in the long run.

Maybe enemy can outsmart you. Maybe. *sniff* Maybe.
But enemy never outsmart lots of bullet.

In CoP, a Bloodsucker's choke attack will unload your weapon

Controllers melee is fairly weak, so when confronted with a controller, charging him and unloading a few buck shot rounds to his head work nicely. (it worked for me)

You never have to reload a knife, it never jams, it never scatters off-target, it doesn't require repairing, can't be taken from you, and you can use an artifact detector with it.
Any questions?

*Fire in short bursts - your accuracy is greatly skewed after the first couple of rounds. Additionally, if your weapon can be upgraded to burst fire, do so as soon as possible, and make use of the burst fire mode.

Don't expect your favourite artifacts and weapons from SoC to work properly in CS or CoP. The devs nerfed things between the games in an attempt to rebalance things.

Ammunition might be useful and expensive, but it's worth selling to repair your armor. As stated above, save ammo and die rich.
Also remember that it might not be worth unloading a bunch of valuables on the first person you come across; reputation affects price, wildly.

Zone Survival Tip #289: Entering a Chernobyl-dog's lair without proper foresight and equipment will result in you becoming a chew-toy. Zone Survival Tip #516: Pseudo-giants let off radiation, it is advised (and obvious) that one should keep their distance anyway or risk becoming a radiated pancake. Zone Survival Tip #999: Monolith are not friendly to anyone expect those within their own faction, therefore the old 'Girls Scout Cookies Sales Person' gimmick doesn't work. Zone Survival Tip # : "We thank you, oh Monolith, for showing us the nonbelievers' plans."
