So I was randomly looking at the GSC game world stalker community messages board and I found out that a “minimum budget”, “medium length film based on STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl” is being made. It called Stalker: Monolith's Whisper and it is an Uruguayan cinema project. Form the lack of information I’m not sure if it is the real deal but the movie does have a web site. www.monolithwhisper.tk/If this is not some kind of joke then it might be something to see. I just hope it does not end up like the Transformers movies and end up being directed by some like Michael Bay.

Didn't some guy on the old forum have a thread in regards to a stalker movie?
I believe it went off topic very quickly.

Haha, I remember that.
He raged so damn hard, I wish I could've taken a screenshot of that thread.
Instead of discussing his movie, we were talking about what would happen if Stallone and Ahnuld were to play the protagonist.

Yeah I'm glad I saved that page. He couldn't believe how off topic we were, at least we were talking about actors...
I mean geez.

I think the discussion on the thread of the old zsg was about a movie adaption of Strugatzki's Roadside Picnic. Anyways, I wouldn't worry about this movie. It's an indipendent fan movie and therefor won't undermine and only barely exceed the quality of Stalker airsoft videos uploaded by 14 years olds Russian and Ukrainian kids on YouTube.

Nah, it was a thread by some 3D animator who was going to make his own Stalker-themed movie. It ended up being hilarious though.

That reminds me, someone discussed airsoft in the zone on the old board, it was met with many negative responses. And rightfully so.

I think I've got the Chernobyl vs Drag stored somewhere too. I'll have a look, that'll take a while to convert to a pic being three pages. BTW the link in the first pic still works. I'll post it here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RR79IBxeB3Q
