Seeing that the ZSG RP has grown over the years and a few of us have given our character some kind of zone based power, gift etc. It stands to reason that we should have rules governing these to keep the RP balanced and from going into lunacy (if that is remotely possible for this site).
First and foremost one chracter mutant per player, with the exceptions being admins and those who once had admin status. This will help keep the RP clean and less cheesy.
Second the mutation you give your character must be approved by an admin before you are allowed to post. This can be done by simply PMing one of we admins. Your message must be entitled with the character’s name and the mutation power or what have you. You must then describe what kind of power you want to give them and if possible how they would get the power. We don’t need super stalkers flying around blasting things with laser vision.
Third all mutations must have a draw back to them. And any Psy based power most have some kind of physical mark. This can be something like an odd eye, hair or skin color. Or if the mutation is scientifically based, a brand or tattoo.
Fourth a mutation is a social stigmatism in the zone, sure there might be more stalkers running about with powers or gifts but you’re not going to be tripping over them. Many stalkers are very distrustful of individuals marked by the zone. Some like Freedomers might be more open minded but even they are still wary when it comes to mutants. Mercs and Bandits may try to exploit such people for power and control; and so your character must hide what they are from others. As an important note Dutyers will if they find out your character is a mutant try to hunt them down.
