I have yet to play CoP, so I can't really help, but there is a Walkthrough in the main Call of Pripyat section, it's down below the sub-boards.

Keep playing the main storyline.
There's no NPC you can talk to, you basically have to 'run into' them. I can tell you where they can be found, but IDK if that's what you want in terms of making the quest too easy.
I take all four with me too. Typically one of them dies, but I've managed to save them all on one playthrough. What difficulty are you playing on?

Yea I think I've done a decent job of searching for barge and joker, but no luck. Also, I figured I'd try to go to pripyat to see if i was prepared enough, and yea I got slaughtered. When I died 3 times I went down to novice just to see my squad through, but even that doesnt help as they run ahead where i cant gun down baddies fast enough to save them. I guess I'll just keep trying lol. All I have left is that and the 'find the source for electronic interferance' quests, so was just trying to finish those before heading to Pripyat.
Side note: I love CoP, plays more to the original which to me is a good thing. Only complaint so far is that this seems it might be a little short :0

Joker can be found by the Pineoak anomaly in Zaton. Barge is in the caverns underneath the burnt village on the same map.
The source of the interference is revealed at the end of the game when you meet a certain someone.

oOo yes im so glad they dont have the point of no return this time. I found a note from a certain someone to a certain someone thats making me rethink what i couldve overlooked. Loving this so far. Btw I managed to save 3, the one who died was the one with the pkm so i took it and went with that playthru

Zulu will leave the group anyway. Although you get a chance to save him later on, and he'll give you his PKM for it.

There are several characters named as ones in SoC. Whether they're supposed to be the same people or not I dunno. If so, I kinda buggered CoP up before it was released by killing a chap called 'Skull'. He apparently gets pissed off with being killed as a Dutyer, so he becomes a Merc. I was always a bit wary of killing Dutyers, but Mercs I dispose of with a certain amount of glee. Bad choice, Skull. The source of interference is part of a task in Pripyat. Barge and Joker are dead. Their bodies are where someone already mentioned - Joker isn't an entire body any more. Your squad members are made out of tissue paper in the underpass - the slightest scratch from a Tushkano can kill them. You need to be Chuck Norris, Rambo and the Terminator all in one to keep them alive. I lost Zulu on my first run through. I lost Strider to the Monolith snipers in the largest 'hall' down there on the second. I got fed up with losing people and refused to let it happen. I quicksaved a lot in there and reloaded if someone died. Took an extra few minutes, but I got them all to Pripyat. It is very annoying that one of the missions in Pripyat involves two of your own squad because it is so easy to lose one or more. I tend to run off and do that mission alone before my guys are sent to help me. In the last run to the choppers at the end I had 8 guys with me. Seven got on the choppers - Colonel Kovalsky didn't make it and is still decorating the gardens around the big sculpture. I'm proudest of keeping Vano alive. He wasn't really any kind of fighter, just a nice guy in the wrong place at the wrong time. Don't believe those bloody scientists when their 'monitoring equipment' says there are artifacts in certain anomolies - it is far more likely that the unmonitored anomolies will yield far more because they are wrong so often. There is also a thing with the anabiotics that allows the player to bring on an emission a good time before it should happen. If you're standing near other stalkers when you use the drug they'll all die on the spot. I got the game a little over two weeks ago and, apart from wanting to sleep in my own bed and needing to eat occasionally, I've been in the CoP Zone all that time. I now know who did what, why, where, how and to who. The GSC forum 'Liquidators' don't stand a chance. .
