I'm at the point in the game where my last 2 goals before pripyat are to 1) investigate the stingray crash in the Jupiter factory and 2) Check under the factory for a passage to pripyat
Now usually i don't go asking this but since i wandered into the bloodsucker lair completly by accident and have also found them in some other weird places, are there any bloodsuckers in the factory? I like being creeped out(X18) but am not a fan of cheap scares(X10).
So whats up with the Jupiter factory

Remember to bring long range weapons for that close-quarters area like I did. Yep, nothing but the Comrade Clip/Mag Nimble sold me and about 90 rounds of 7.62. As you can expect the first battle took me awhile to beat alive. Seriously though, bring the a 5.56 weapon. I recommend either the Sig SG500 or LR300 and don't worry about a scope you shouldn't need one. Hell, it might hinder your ability to aim quickly. As a back up weapon i recommend a .45 caliber weapon like the P226, USP, or Colt .45. also make sure you have 5.56 ap rounds, too. Trust me you'll need them for you first objective.

Wow. You guys make a meal of a cheese cracker.
I took the Vintorez I got from the burned village in Zaton. I'd got the 'contrast' scope upgrade - all you need really. On full auto a single touch done right results in a 'double tap' - two bullets hitting the same target (aim at midsection, then the second bullet strikes the face or forehead as the barrel lifts).
And the dogs can be taken out at a safe distance. If one gets close the Vintorez is good for that, too.
There is very little alive, if anything, in the central complex itself. You need time to look around so the devs kept combat in there to a minimum.
The other buildings are another matter. I always get a gang of seven Mercs arriving and telling me I'm about to become dead meat.
The Vintorez eats Mercs at an astonishing rate.
