Get a nade launcher for that one...Or a bulldog. Some sort of sniper weapon helps too. I had a FN 2000 set up for assault, and I think a SVU, it made the whole area a lot easier.

Get a nade launcher for that one...Or a bulldog. Some sort of sniper weapon helps too. I had a FN 2000 set up for assault, and I think a SVU, it made the whole area a lot easier. I have 2 of each rifle. All customized as far as the CS mechanic could do things. One rifle is set up for assault, the other; sniper. When I did the attack on that military base, I didn't waste time with sniper rifles. The RPG-7 was applied with a vengance to the entrance to the base, then I went through it finishing things off with one of my favourite combos, the GP36 and M203 nade launcher. Jenifur Charne

So much for trying to play STALKER CTD. Can't talk to Sidorovich after getting the job to deal with the stalkers holding the Military Major hostage. Try talking to him after being given that job, and immediate CTD Try to speak with the Major which is part of that job and the game fucking well freezes the system totally, requiring me to press the reset button on the comp. I *REALLY* hope that CoP doesn't repeatedly crater. Jenifur Charne

From what Dim said it's more stable.

Since Stalker CTD is far to fucked up to play seriously, I'm just now simply going through it and fragging anything and everything that I see moving on the ground. And in doing that, I've found yet another thing that the devs fucked over in CTD. The maps in CTD are designed to forcibly skid you off any area the devs don't want you accessing. In the Garbage, I headed up to my favourite ridge that lets me strike the bandits down the back of the vehicle graveyard on one side, and the ones that are near the dead rail tunnel on the other. Got to the top, and the game forcibly skidded me straight down the side of the ridge. No way at all to remain still at the top of the ridge, and no way to fight the skidding. After eradicating the bandits, I headed over to the gate that Duty guards in SoC. After jumping over that gate, I walked along the road and then without warning, near where you hit the map transition in SoC, I started skidding, straight off edge the fucking map! Jenifur Charne

CS Complete works fine Major improvements across the board. I'd regard it as a must get same as SC2009 is for SoC. Only bug I hit so far is that it crashes if you drive a car into a Whirligig. Oh and spawning anomalies on top of the campfires is fun ;D Jenifur Charne

Usually best if you avoid doing that.

The whirligigs in SoC used to be great ramps for cars. A vortex would launch you over 200 km in a random direction though.

Made it to the Red Forest, and learned of yet another piece of cheatware coded by the gamedevs for CS, that tops the bullshit with the bandits in the Garbage. Mr i'm-fucking-well-invunerable-and-superfast Strelok. God I really hate being fucking well taunted by an invunerable NPC.
As for the Garbage, GRRRRRR! First the Bandits rape your cash on entry. Then you get nuked by a tripwire trap, that only you and nothing else can set off, followed up by a lets rape the player of his entire inventory, and not even leave him a fucking leather jacket for armor. And finally, to LEAVE the Garbage for Agroprom, it's play a repeat performance of ARV on the player. And all this bullshit against the player, when the player has to leave the fucking bandits unmolested because of their mechanic is the only one who can do certain top tier mods.
When I restart playing, I'm going to spawn a bunch of Whirligigs in front of Strelok and let the little shit try to get past a deathtrap.

When I restart playing, I'm going to spawn a bunch of Whirligigs in front of Strelok and let the little shit try to get past a deathtrap. So much for that idea. The cocksucking gamedevs cheatwared Strelok so he is unaffected at all by anomalies. You know how your speed drops from sprint to slow walk when you try to run across an Electro, well I just set things so Strelok had to sprint across 50 strong Electros over 10 metres. there was no reduction at all in his sprint speed. Strelok is invulnerable to anything in CS. It's a well-known fact.

At absolutely abysmal immersion breaking game design that shoves cheating by the gamedevs in a player's face, yes. Jenifur Charne

The only damage that Strelok takes in CS psy.
see [strelok_resistance] burn_immunity = 0.0 strike_immunity = 0.0 shock_immunity = 0.0 wound_immunity = 0.0 radiation_immunity = 0.0 telepatic_immunity = 1.0 chemical_burn_immunity = 0.0 explosion_immunity = 0.0 fire_wound_immunity = 0.0
See if you can't spawn a controller or two in-front of him or play with the immunity section.
