Drakon hailed the guards as he passed them. In front of him lay a barricade made of many different objects, he even spied a fridge, there was a large hole in the center and a trail of dried blood led through it and some meters behind, and it continued for a few metres and then stopped at a mangled corpse, curled up on the floor. "Poor guy." Drakon said out loud. He hefted his Kalashnikov, cocking it and turning the safety off.
An hour later, Drakon was at the first duty outpost in the wild territory. It was a long passage, with a another floor on top in which three snipers were posted.
"Identify yourself, stalker and name your business here." A voice said over his PDA.
"I am Drakon and i mean you no harm, i'm here on a job for barkeep." Drakon replied. There was a short pause and the voice replied again.
"Okay, you can come in, this is a dangerous place, so be careful."
Drakon strode into the building and through the corridor. A dutier was sitting against the wall, stripping his weapon and Drakon went over to him.
"I'm here looking for some bandits that are holding a stalker hostage, do you have any idea where they are?" He asked the man.
"Well, there has been a lot of bandit activity recently so i guess, i'll mark on your PDA where i saw it on my last patrol." The dutier replied.
Drakon thanked the man and walked out of the outpost, he could hear gunshots in the distance. He walked past an overturned dumpster and a strange sight met his eyes.
Something was hopping along the ground a few feet away from him, it looked a little like a slug , but its was the shape of a teardrop and it looked like it had scaly skin. Drakon walked over to it and went to pick it up, the moment his hand touched it, it stopped moving. He picked it up, and realizing that it was an artifact, looked it up in his PDA. It was a droplets artifact, which would prove useful to him in the future. Surely the Gods have blessed me today. he thought as he put it into one of the containers on his belt and went on his merry way.

"Well, it looks like i've found my quarry." Drakon said to himself as he looked at the old construction sight through his binoculars. The hostage was slumped against a pillar opposite one of the bandits who was tirelessly pointing a pistol at his head. "God, this is gonna be hard." he said to himself as he saw five other men on the building. He picked up his AK which was lying beside him and started to creep, ever-so-slowly towards the ruined building. The whole bottom section had collapsed, making it a lot shorter than Drakon imagined it once was, this provided lots of cover, so he wouldn't be caught out in the open.
Drakon managed to get to the bottom floor without being seen only for a bandit to climb down a ladder in front of him.
"Damn!" he cursed as he opened up with his AK, riddling the bandit with lead.
Two more bandits rushed down the stairs, diving for cover as he started to pour fire onto them. He heard the tell tale click of a dry mag and ducked down to reload. He heard the noises of bullets impacting into concrete, so he kept his head down.
He popped up and quickly shot one of the bandits several times in the chest, the other quickly retreated upstairs, seeing the odds stacked against him.
Drakon moved slowly up the stairs, training his AK on anything that looked remotely humanlike. It seemed that the bandits had all moved up to the top floor. When he got to the top he dived for the nearest pillar just in time as several bullets thudded into the floor behind him.
"The Gods protect." Drakon said out loud as a round skimmed his arm, leaving a graze but nothing more. He popped out of cover and took out two bandits. bullets slamming into their abdomen and torso respectively.
There was only two left now and Drakon thought he could take them out, then, he heard a gunshot and a shout of "You son of a bitch." Then another gunshot. Drakon peeked round the cover to see the captive dusting himself off, a pistol in hand and two dead bandits at his feet.
"Thanks buddy." he said, offering his hand which the mercenary shook. "You distracted them long enough for me to tackle the one guarding me and shoot him." Drakon explained to him that barkeep wanted his money, to which the captive replied "Should've known, well, i've still got it." Drakon told him to wait while he looted the corpses. The apparent leader was wearing a merc suit, which, apart from the hole in his head, was undamaged. Mine Drakon thought as he pulled it on, he would stylize it later. He also found two sellable AKs and an MP5, not too bad a haul.
When they had reached the outpost that separated the wild territory and Rostok, the man turned to Drakon and handed him an artifact. "Here, take it, it's a stone blood, my thanks for saving my life."

"Well well well, if it isn't my dear friend." Barkeep said as Drakon and the man walked in. "Thankyou merc, here's the money." He said, handing Drakon 6000 ru in cash. "Don't go spending it all in one place, unless it's here of course." The man chuckled and handed him a vodka, he turned to the Debtor. "Well, we've got a lot to talk about, you and i." He said, leading the man to the back rooms.
