Pianist and Disciple entered the fabled Garbage at about midnight. The worst time for a stalker to ever venture into the Zone, monsters were creeping out of their caves and taking over the Zone from stalkers. But that didn't really bother the travelers, they were desperate to get to Rostok and if all went as planned they could get some sleep there... Pianist was walking slightly behind Disciple in case a monster or someone else was to suddenly attack Disciple would be better of standing closer to blast them with poor Vlad's shotgun meanwhile Pianist would aid him with his SMG fire. They walked past a rusty truck and saw a group of bandits, maybe four or five Pianist couldn't tell, looting some dead loners. Both companions crouched down and took cover behind the truck. "Fuck... They're looting our brother stalkers! We can't just leave them there! We need to help!". Disciple was good at structuring and planning ambushes, he had it in him from the army days... "Okay" said he "You go around the back of the truck and climb inside, I go around through the woods and flank them. When I say you cook a grenade and then throw it in the middle of their group. If that doesn't kill them all then I come out of the woods and blast them from one side and you take cover in the back of the truck and aid me from there, like in a bunker. Got that?" Pianist nodded "Okay then, let's go!" Pianist and Disciple both went around the back of the truck and parted there, Pianist climbed onto the truck and Disciple, as he said he would, disappeared into the woods. Pianist peered over the side of the boot and looked at the gang. They were all wearing jackets quite like his old one, just black and were poorly armed. Pianist supposed that the one on the very left, furthest away from the group, was the leader, as he was better armed and his jacket seemed in better condition than the rest. Pianist took out a grenade and pulled the ring... He waited for two seconds and then threw it at the group. The grenade landed between the group and the leader, on touch with the ground it exploded killing the two bandits closest instantly and throwing the leader into the tree behind him. The leader lay on the floor grunting and the rest of the bandits were deafened and shocked. Pianist cocked his MP5 and fired at the three bandits by the bodies. He riddled one of them with bullets leaving him to bleed on the floor and the rest jumped in the ditch by the road, sheltered from Pianist's chaotic fire. Disciple came out of the woods and fired a shot at the bandits who were shooting at Pianist in short bursts. Disciple didn't notice the leader lying on the floor and walked straight past him, but the leader kicked his leg tripping him up and rolled away trying to get up and grab his gun, Disciple sprang back up and jumped onto the leader's back taking him back down to the floor and breaking two of his ribs. The leader screamed in pain. Disciple was ruthless, he grabbed his opponent's head and twisted it left to an angle unreachable by the most flexible people on this planet, the neck clicked violently and the bandit was silenced forever. Meanwhile Pianist was getting pinned down by bandit fire and couldn't shoot back, Disciple snuck around the back of the truck and over the road to get into the ditch the bandits were holding back in and began to crawl towards them, when he got as close ah he could he got up crouching and fired a shot at the bandit next to him's head. The bandits head looked as if it exploded and the other bandit stopped shooting, then Pianist used that moment to get up from his cover and fire a short burst at the last standing bandit, all three bullets hitting their target. When the fight was finished Disciple and pianist agreed to split the loot in half, Pianist would get the two bandits he killed and two of the loners who were dead before the travelers' arrival and Disciple would get the three bandits he killed and one of the corpses. When they finished searching the corpses they put them all into the back of the truck and continued their way through Garbage towards the oasis of Rostok.

After he'd finished looting the bodies, Disciple and Pianist started to walk again, past a graveyard filled with rusted and irradiated vehicles. After a few minutes more walking, Disciple heard the telltale buzz of an electricity anomaly. He looked around him but could see nothing so the pair walked on. He soon saw the source of the noise as they crested a hill they saw a vast field of anomalies, sparkling and flashing in amazing shades of electric blue. Disciple chuckled. "It's strange how the most beautiful things in the world are often the most deadly." He stepped near to one of the things and kicked some dirt into it, there was an almighty crack, like lightning but louder, and a flash. Then the world was quiet apart from the buzzing. It was then that movement in his peripheral vision caught his eye, and he turned around, raising his kalash in case of an enemy. But it was only a strange blue thing, hopping around at the base of the hill they had just traversed. He walked over and picked up the star shaped object, immediatly he felt a surge of energy wash through him. Deciding that this thing was benevolent rather than malevolent he put it on his belt, feeling pleased at the energy it was giving him. He then pulled out his PDA, checking the artifact which turned out to be a flash, which would grant him inhuman endurance. Disciple decided to test this out by sprinting back up the hill. By the time he got to the top he felt just as rejuvenated and full of energy as he did at the bottom. From his vantage point he saw an abondoned train hanger with what looked like the glow of a fire coming from it. He gestured to Pianist, who still had his eyes glued to the electric anomaly like he was seeing a bloodsucker give birth (a horrified expression), Disciple had to resort to slapping him to get him out of his daze. After a few minutes they came to the hanger, a group of haggard loners were sitting round a fire, holding their weapons in tired hands.

His face still hurting after the slap, Pianist walked into the hangar behind Disciple wishing to get to sleep as soon as possible and then travel to Rostok the next morning... There was a group of men sitting around the campfire looking rather grim. The travelers walked up past them and walked into one of the old train wagons... When they were rolling out their mats Pianist said "Wait a second, I need to go have a look around". "Okay, do whatever you want, I'll be in here". Pianist jumped out of the train and went further down the hangar towards a big gate opposite the one they entered. When he got to the exit, Pianist turned left and found some stairs. As he was going up them he was looking down at the inside of the hangar from perspective... The huge metal bars looked scarily impressive and rather inspiring... Pianist began to whistle an old piano tune he composed and sold once... When he got up to the second level of the hangar, he went out onto the 'balcony' and looked over the entrance to the Agroprom Research Facility. Three men were departing, one in the middle was wearing a brown trench-coat and the rest in black leather jackets. They disappeared behind the turn of the road and the other men who were watching them part got back into their usual positions. Pianist went back inside the hangar and continued up the stairs. He came to the top level of the hangar and took a step onto one of the beams going across the top. He was now walking back towards the entrance but up by the roof of the hangar. Half way across the building he sat down, his legs hanging off the edge of the beam, and thought about their past encounters and many yet to come... Meanwhile Disciple down in the train has closed the door and went to sleep, Pianist was still walking around exploring the hangar and the nearby premises.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jackal went through the vehicle graveyard, passing some loners by the campfire giving him evil stares... He didn't care, he just wanted to get to the targets as quick as possible. When the Merc got up to the last place the travelers were seen all he found was a big pile of neatly stacked dead bodies in the back of an old, rusty truck. He turned around and looked down the road through his scope. He saw two figures going down a hill towards the old train hangar. One of them was wearing a unique black stalker suit and had an SVD behind his back. Yes, those were his targets, and they were very close to his starting point as well. If things got too nasty the bandits would always come along to see what the shooting is all about and surely aid Jackal as they all knew who he was and what he was doing for their boss. The Merc slung his gun behind his back and began to jog down the road in anticipation of money coming soon... When he got around the scrap heap behind which Pianist and Disciple disappeared he took out his Galil and slowed his jog to a walk. He creeped around the gate and saw a few loners by the campfire warming their hands, another loner has just jumped out of one of the train wagons and started to walk towards the other entrance to the hangar.
Drakon lowered his binoculars and cocked his kalash. "Looks like i've caught you, little man." He had been tracking Jackal for a day, and he had finally caught up with him. He uttered a quick prayer of thanks to the Gods and started to walk towards the small figure, who disappeared into a large hangar. In a few minutes he had reached the hangar, and the merc was standing at the other end, seemingly looking for something. This is too easy. Drakon thought to himself, creeping closer. Jackal then ran up some stairs to his left, Drakon followed and when he got to the top, a strange scene met his eyes. Jackal was pointing his Colt BFR at a loner, who had his hands up and was looking confused. The short man was preceding to explain why he had come and who had sent him. Who does he think he is? A super villain? Drakon thought. By now, the loner had caught a glimpse of him and was looking even more nervous than before. "Well hello there." Drakon said, levelling his AK at his nemesis who turned around and shot wildly at Drakon, missing by a long shot. "Shit." Jackal said as he raised his hands. "I'm going to cause you a lot of pain." Drakon whispered menacingly. "Oh yes, the Gods are smiling on me and i shall carry out their judgement upon you." With that, he shot his former mentor in the knee. The man fell over with a cry of pain. "This is for what you did to me." Drakon said, his voice getting more excited. He threw down his rifle and drew his colt python, taking Jackal's right hand, he aimed at the his trigger finger and fired... ______________________________________________________
Disciple heard the gunshot from inside the wagon. His first thought was that Pianist was in danger Why didn't i go with him? he cursed himself, and picked up his Dragunov, which, as ever was lying by his side. Pulling open the door of the wagon, he stepped out into the gloom of the hangar, even though it was daylight outside it was very dark in this place. When his eyes got used to the darkness, Disciple saw Pianist and two other stalkers on the balcony, one of them, the shorter one, was holding his hands up to the other. As he watched, the stalker closer to the stairs, a merc by the looks of him. Shot the other man in the knee, then advanced on him, holding a large revolver to the man's hand, he then fired, sending a finger flying off the balcony. He then threw the other man off, into the courtyard below. He was unmoving. Disciple rushed up the stairs, concerned with the welfare of his only friend. When he got to the top, the merc was cursing loudly and looking down. "He's gone. FUCK!?!" he said. It was only then that Disciple realized how tall the man was, he was strongly built as well, with emerald green eyes which seemed to flicker like fire in the darkness. "Thank you, i thought i was a gonner." Pianist said, extending a hand to the merc.
"This is for what you did to me!"... Jackal saw his finger fly off the edge of the balcony and cried in pain. The Drakon threw Jackal off the balcony following his finger... Jackal hit the floor and fell unconscious. He awakened ten it twenty minutes later, he couldn't tell... And felt the pain in his leg and the lack of a finger once again. He groaned and began to drag himself towards a train wagon just outside the hangar. He pulled himself in and shut the door. He was lying on the floor and now could patch himself up form the wounds he could... When he was done he got up and took out some pain killers from his first-aid kit. That should've numbed the pain in his right had index finger for now. Jackal checked his holster and found his pistol still there, where he put it when he had to surrender to Drakon... He then checked his Galil for any visible or invisible damage, but it was fine as well, quite surprising for a fall like that. But he will come back, not for two, but now for all three of them. Not now though, he isn't prepared enough, now he still needed to master shooting without his index finger and get some better armor and gear... Jackal opened the train door and jumped outside, into the cold, dark night. It would be sunrise soon, he needed to head over to somewhere safe, where he could get some rest and get his energy and strength back... He strode out of the back entrance of the hangar courtyard and made his way into the unknown darkness of the Zone...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pianist watched the two men talk and then his near murderer fall off the balcony where Pianist himself was not so long ago 'admiring the view'. Pianist came over to the very tall and well built man, with green eyes flickering like fire in the darkness of the hangar... "Fuck! He's gone!" the man swore. "Don't worry about him" said Pianist "Now we will be more prepared for when he decides to come back, if he ever does... And thank you for saving my life, if not for you it wouldn't have been him hitting the floor..." "No problem" replied the tall man "Ask anytime if it's to do with killing that guy..." The tall man turned around and walked down the stairs past stunned Disciple... "Hey!" called out Pianist from the balcony down to the Merc "What's your name?!". The 'giant' stopped and looked back "The name's Drakon..." he turned around again and walked over to the fire where the other stalkers, who were watching what was happening like a tv-show, were sitting and now completely forgot again about the existence of the two rival Mercs and two traveling loners... Pianist walked with Disciple who still hasn't said anything over to the fire as well collecting their gear on the way and sat down, opening a tin of 'Tourist's Delight' and a can of energy drink...

Darius had watched the whole scene unfold quickly the two loners had arrived looking heavily weighed down by their packs and tired from walking from Cordon. One of the decided to explore the hanger.
"Must be first timers to the Garbage." one of the other loners muttered to no one in particular.
A series of halfhearted sounds of agreement came form the group sitting around the fire.
After about 20 minutes had passed another stalker made their way into the walkway above where one of the newcomers had gone, the unmistakable click of a revolver's hammer being drawn back and the voice of one of the newcomers, suddenly the deafening report of a BFR made all of the loners including Darius throw them selves flat against the ground. Several more shots echoed out from the walkway above, followed by the thud as a body slumped from above, holding his GSh-18 at the ready he watched as the body crawled away and into the darkness.
"Well, that was certainly exciting. if a little dangerous" He said, little surprise when the group barely responded, along with a chilly gust of wind blowing from Agroprom's direction.
Looking to the loners as they came down from the walkway and sat by the fire and warmed their hands and have a meal.
"Looks like you've been having some drama's eh?" Darius said to Pianist and Disciple, eying the large merc with some suspicion seeing as he'd already shot one man recently. "So, what brings you fellas here? Seeking some shelter from the weather? Hunting bounties?" He continued, as he holstered the scavenged pistol.
"You don't happen to need another gun do ya?" Darius offered, "The name's Darius by the way."

"The name's Darius by the way." the loner said, holstering his pistol. He was younger than Disciple, shorter too with unremarkable features and short brown hair. Looks can be deceptive Disciple thought to himself but alll the same he offered his hand to Darius who took it and shook it enthusiastically. I like him already Disciple sat down as Pianist was introducing himself, he reached into his pack and pulled out a cup of baked beans, of which he had strangely found copious amounts of on all stalkers in the zone. A strange thing but it wasn't necessary to pay it any mind. He pulled out one of his tinned cups and poured a portion of the mess into it and stuck it into the fire, offering the tin to all comers. As the group sipped their 'drinks' Disciple noticed that the tall merc was still standing in the shadows, gazing into the fire. The man's eyes scared Disciple, they looked like emerald fires, eternally burning and when he looked at you, it felt like your insides were going cold, like you were frosting over. Disciple could swear that they flickered and even glowed brightly. Nevertheless he plucked up the courage to speak to the merc. "D'you want to sit with us?" He asked. ________________________________________________________
Drakon snapped out of his trance and sat down with the group of stalkers, taking the offered cup and downing it's disgusting contents in one gulp, he hadn't realized how hungry he was. Looking at the man named Darius he asked. "You look like a veteran, how long is it you been in the zone?"

"You look like a veteran, how long is it you been in the zone?" The merc asked.
"It's been five years since I passed into entered the Cordon, been slowly working my way around the zone completing tasks, you know kicking ass and taking names." He said with a scoff, "Of course wasn't always that easy you know, found myself in a tight situation a while back, during my first year here. Got taken hostage by them fucking bandits out in the DV, when we were spotted by a pack of military sorts, who opened fire on the group killing both the stalker prisoners and the bandits indiscriminately." Shaking his head he spat into the crackling fire, "I dunno if I should be glad or not really, I did gain my freedom but they killed a lot good stalkers at the same time."
Shrugging he took a swig from an almost empty bottle of vodka.
So what about you fellas? What's your story?" He asked looking to each of the newcomers.

Pianist listened to Darius' story silently, finishing his food and drink. When the veteran finished he turned to the travelers and asked "So fellas, what's your story?". No one was saying anything so Pianist thought he'd start. "Well..." he began to tell his tale... "My name's Pianist, and back in the Big Land I was surprisingly also a pianist... I couldn't feed my family just of music, but even when my parents died I was still struggling with money. I thought recording some music might help, but even then you needed money to do that. So I went to the local gangsters, and borrowed some money from them. Recording didn't pay off, but the bandits still wanted their money, so they paid me a visit at my apartment... They chucked me through the window" at that point Pianist showed the scars covering his body "and then they torched my home... I appealed to the police, but the bandits had their people in the station because that night when the raid on their hideout was gunna happen they all made a run for the Zone... So now I'm here to finish off what I started in the Big Land... There's my story..." Pianist looked at Disciple as if passing on the relay to him...

"Me?" Disciple said, running a finger down his scar. "Well, i had an uninteresting childhood. Got chucked out of my home when i was 16, walked the streets for a few years then decided to join the army. By the end of it i was in the Spetsnaz, serving as a sniper." He patted his Dragunov. "Well, got into some trouble and was discharged. Got into drink. Tried a few jobs. When i heard about the zone i decided to explore. A week in and i met this guy and we've been together ever since." He looked over at Drakon who was transfixed by the fire, eyes blazing. "What's your story?" The tall man turned to Disciple and answered. "The gods called me here, that's all you need to know." He turned back to the fire, his lips moving in what looked like silent prayer. Disciple turned back to Pianist and made and rolled his eyes. He then took up his Dragunov and began to clean it.

"-The gods called me here, that's all you need to know." The big merc said.
"Interesting." Darius said, in his mind it was a rather dubious reason as people with religious motives tended to be... unpredictable, but each to their own was the motto he lived by.
Looking back to Disciple, "Ex spetsnaz eh? Impressive I guess I don't have to ask if your any good with that thing." He said nodding at the SVD.
Finally looking to Pianist, his story was that of countless stalkers. "Well, I'd recommend keeping company with one who knows the area, of course the danger of executing a group of bandits is that they might have connections on the outside and send an assassin to deal with whoever killed their men."
"Anyway, I know the area pretty well so I'm pretty sure we can set up some ambush for a group of bandits and interrogate them." Darius suggested. "But we should head to Rostok in the morning. If you need to grab some sleep get it now. We'll leave at dawn."
With that Darius looked back into the flames rubbing his hands and leaning back.

"We'll leave at dawn" Darius said. Pianist was thinking that he was getting luckier by the minute, first he meets a real good guy, then a stranger saves his life and now a veteran was joining their little 'crew'. Darius leaned back and was quietly snoring, Disciple was getting back into the train wagon to get some sleep as well... Only Drakon was still standing by the fire staring into it. Pianist was still quite scared of his rescuer and didn't want to disturb whatever he was doing or thinking about. Pianist finished his food and stood up, the energy drink would keep him up for a bit so he might as well try doing something useful meanwhile. He followed Disciple into the train and shut the door behind him, then he unloaded his quite heavy bag and took out a small pocket mirror. Pianist studied his mutation... The blue veins were sticking out like sore thumbs on his quite pale neck and the completely white eyes made him look like a blind man... He took out a balaclava from his bag and put it on, that would cover up the veins, but the eyes would still scare off some stalkers. He carried on searching through his bag, but still didn't find anything to cover his eyes. "Well, when we get to Rostok I'll get some upgrades like a gas mask or a closed cycle breathing system... That should cover my face..." he put his stuff back in the bag and began to clean his MP5, when he was done he fell asleep on a sleeping mat just like Disciple's and fell asleep, his hand on his gun still, just in case of another 'attempt on his life'...

The next morning Disciple awoke to the sound of silence. Thecalm before the storm he thought as he put his things into his pack and went to pass water in a corner. When he returned he saw Darius sitting up, rubbing his eyes wearily, Disciple looked at the sleeping form of Pianist, walked over and kicked him. "The zone abhores laziness." he said to his friend. He picked up his SVD and put his other weapons in his pack, he would travel with his sharp-eyes on today, as there would be the others to watch his back. He turned, his eyes searching for the merc. He saw the tall figure casting an even taller shadow, on the balcony where Pianist had been cornered. He seemed to be kneeling down and praying, this disturbed Disciple, he had heard tell of the monolith fanatics, men who's religious fervour made them near immune to wounds that would kill a normal man and Sidorovich had told him that they would kill you on sight, not someone you wanted to mess with. Just then, a flash of movement caught his eye and he looked down, below the praying merc. A Bandit was creeping through the shadows, towards the stairs and Drakon. It was the easiest thing in the world to line up the man's head in his sights and fire-It exploded in a bright red firework and Drakon aroused, pulling out his AK-74 jumping up. No sooner had he shouted BANDITS than a force of about fifteen bandits charged into the hangar, they were a motley bunch-clad in trench coats and black jackets or hoodies and armed with an assortment of rusty kalashnikovs, sawn-offs and submachine guns. The man Disciple assumed to be the leader from his heavily customized and almost pristine rifle barked an order and the men started to fire at Disciple, he managed to pop the man's head like a melon before he was forced down by the rain of bullets. One of the loners charged to him but was struck in the neck by a lucky shot, Pianist and Darius had already made it to cover and were firing short bursts when they could. ______________________________________________________
Drakon crouched against the window, the bandits were not yet aware of his presence and he aimed to use it to his advantage, the other men were running for cover and he saw one fall, bright arterial blood squirting powerfully from his neck. The bandit leader was already on the ground, his forhead shattered and his brain in ruins, courtesy of the man who was called Disciple. Drakon uttered a quick prayer to the gods and stood up, his assault rifle chattering in his hands and two bandit's falling, leaden kisses in their necks. He looked back to the makeshift barricade and saw that the others had made it to cover and were firing at the bandits with abandon. Drakon took one of the grenades he had found in the wild territory and tossed it down, it exploded in seconds and he heard dull screams from below him. He ducked down to reload and looked to the other end of the hangar. The man called Pianist was shouting and swearing loudly and firing like a mad man, he did not know why.

Pianist was woken up by Disciple kicking him in the gut... He did not hear what Disciple said after that but then in about 30 seconds he heard gunshots and shouting outside the wagon. He grabbed his MP5 and jumped outside, the fight was already full scale. Up one end of the hangar there were about 15 bandits 5 of which were already dead or wounded, Drakon took up a good spot up on the balcony where Pianist was looking out last night, Darius and Disciple were taking cover with the other loners behind whatever was big and strong enough to protect them, but one stalker was lying dead on the floor in a pool of blood of his own. For some reason that sight completely outraged Pianist. He cocked his gun and started spraying bullets at the multiple enemies. Two bandits went down quickly, Pianist's bullets putting holes in both of them. When Pianist realized his clip was empty and he was standing without any cover he jumped behind the wagon he was in just 2 minutes ago... He reloaded and looked around the other corner of the wagon, two bandits were slowly trying to flank the ambushed stalkers. Suddenly one of them collapsed and began to twitch under the bullets which were hitting him, Drakon was shooting them from the rear from the balcony which somehow reminded Pianist of a bunker. Pianist came out from his cover and finished off what Drakon started, the second bandit only managed to take a few wide steps for his partner's body when he was met by Pianist's bullet storm, the bandit tripped up and fell dead onto the wagon's side, still semi standing. The loner looked ti his right and saw a fire down in some sort of pit, a collapsed column was making a great bridge into it. "Now I'll try their tactics..." and Pianist jogged down into the pit, down the bridge and began to make his way through the rubble towards bandit's barricades.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jackal was taking short bursts at the group of loners who were now trapped around the camp fire they were sleeping by last night. He saw his primary target, Pianist, jump out of a train wagon the same way he did last night, this was almost deja-vu. The loner sprayed the two bandits closest to Jackal with bullets from his MP5, taking them both down, and then disappeared behind the wagon. Another two bandits went around the other side of the wagon to try and flank the ambushed group, but they were met by gunfire form both, the front and the back of the hangar. Jackal looked up to where the shots came from and saw Drakon's legs. "I've got you, you sonofabitch!" he swore loudly and ran up the same stair case he ran up not so long ago... He took out his Magnum and cocked it, the hammer clicked with a nice metal sound. Jackal was training most of the night on blind dogs to shoot without his index finger and mastered it pretty quickly, even though he only got about two hours sleep. When he reached to top of the stairs and looked over the balcony he saw Drakon 'entrenched' behind some barricades which were quite hard to get around. Jackal aimed at his rival's head and fired, the shot only missed by about 2 cm... But that was close enough to make his target crouch into his barricades and swear loudly. Jackal got his Galil and hid behind a pillar next to him, when Drakon got out from behind his cover he didn't see who shot him and carried on firing down at the bandits. Jackal stepped out from his coverand aimed down the scope. He pulled the trigger and fired a burst at the other Merc, one of all the bullets hit the target in the shoulder, he fell onto his side behind the cover of the barricade. "Gotcha!" said Jackal and ran up to his arch-nemesis' hideout...

"Nice shot." Darius yelled over the noise to Disciple, firing a burst at another bandits hiding behind a stack of wooden crates before ducking away from a spray of bullets from the bandits Uzi.
"Who the fuck do these pricks think they are?" He said while popping and firing another burst this time hit the bandits in the torso twice, dropping the bandit who lay clutching the wounds screaming in agony. By this stage the bandits were getting the worst of the fighting and losing numbers with only 6 or 7 left, not including their now dying comrade.
"I've got an idea, stay here and keep firing." Darius shouted to Disciple and another stalker. Keeping low he ran out the entrance and began to circle the building moving from cover to cover making his way towards the bandits. Finally he was pressed against the wall peering round spotting the remaining bandits as they leaned out from their cover to fire again before taking cover again.
Lining up the closest bandits chest he fired, making short work of the bandits trench coat and makeshift armor and killing the bandit before he hit the ground.
Whipping back behind cover he waited and went to fire again but the explosion of a sawn off and the impact of several buckshot pellets thudded into his chest and left shoulder, knocking him off balance and making him fall back, fortunately his armor hadn't been breached, just a pain in his shoulder but no serious injury.
Gasping as he hit the ground he saw the bandit reloading the battered old double barrel paying him no mind, assuming the target was dead. From his laying position he drew his pistol and fired twice hitting the man in the leg and the chest, killing him .
Rolling over and pushing himself up he picked up his trusty rifle and continued with the fight, firing blindly at the bandits and keeping them attacking the stalkers within the hanger.
