Zaton

Zaton, or Creek as it is also called, is a popular nickname for the swampy terrain north of Pripyat. There are washed-up barges all over the area, as well as strange, concentrated anomalous formations. Loners and bandits have a ceasefire pact while staying in Skadovsk, the key point in the area. Beard represents the stalkers on the barge and is considered to be the "head" of the loners in that area whereas the bandits are handled by Sultan who spends his day plotting against his "host". Surprisingly enough, there are few conflicts in this area, which is possibly due to its seclusion.
